Hey, I'm Fahmi!

I'm a CS student @ UWaterloo, but there's a lot more to me than just that!

I'm really interested in the intersection of healthcare and computer science / engineering, specifically, BCI (brain computer interaction). The applications of AI in fields like these have HUGE potential to improve the quality of life for millions if not billions, and can change how we live our entire lives.

I recently worked as a Machine Learning Engineering Intern @ Lumeto, where I worked with a lot of LLMs, whether it was fine tuning or building RAG pipelines, I did it all and had an amazing time!

I'm a pretty big fan of hackathons, so you'll probably see me at a lot of them, probably not hacking and singing karaoke instead...

To get more non-techie and beat the stereotypes, you can also find me in the gym! My current SBD is 1205 :O (405 Squat, 285 Bench, 515 Deadlift)!

I also play just a little bit of Valorantbut we don't talk about that...
